title pic IN & OUT WITH SPIRIT Spirit in Pregnancy & Birth eBook

Posted by Colette on February 24, 2010

Ok, so the book has been written for almost 3 years now and lots of delays in-between but for now I’m opening sales of my book in .pdf format via my site.

If you are not sure whether it is your thing though – read through the following Foreword, Contents and chapter on Conscious Conception to get a clearer idea of what is available in this little book of insights and guidance.

Do you know how to ignite your intuitive flame for powerful parenting? Would you like to have angels present at the birth of your baby? Have you ever wondered about the creation of a new life? Do you marvel at the magical essence that seems to be woven into the fabric of pregnancy and birth, more than disposable nappies, hospital visits and gynae checkups? Do you wish to know how to make this grand entrance into the big, wide world a much more gentle, harmonious & loving experience? Here’s a book that can give you the information how to do just that.

This is a book that takes a mother-to-be from conception to well after birth in a manner that teaches spiritual awakening through 5 rituals that one can make use of whilst pregnant. The book incorporates positive tools such as which archangels and goddesses can be called upon to protect and support you whilst in labour; which crystals to use to soften the bombardment of new tactile experiences your baby is having. This book sets up a mother to add to her experience whilst not re-running through the usual pregnancy and birth information that overwhelms and exhausts mothers.

The intention behind the book is to empower mothers to be with more spiritually enriched information with regards pregnancy, birth and babies’ needs so as to awaken and enliven the inner voice and inner wisdom that mothers and women have been gifted with for eons. The book is structured upon the 5 phases within pregnancy and birth that mark milestones within the process. The 5 phases are presented as rituals to assist the mom in understanding the power and purpose within her, her body, the baby and the process of pregnancy and birth. These rituals also help connect a mother to our deep roots which were so strongly cloaked in all things ritual, cyclic and ceremonial. The rituals are easy to perform being adaptable to suit any individual, culture or religion.

At the core of the book is an opportunity for the reader to delve into themselves and to get to know themselves better thereby enriching their life, that of the unborn baby and the family unit. Here is an opportunity to honour and acknowledge the miracle that is a baby.

If you are looking to add to and enrich your experience of both pregnancy and birth whilst empowering yourself as a woman and mother to further support you role as a guide and parent, then this is the book for you.

Read it. Savour it. Do the rituals. Feel the spirit in which it was written. Grow with the evolution of your process and most of all have fun!

This book is written for all of the incoming souls that are still to join us,
assisting Humanity in bringing Heaven onto Earth; and for all of the parents open to increasing their own awareness and consciousness.
Blessed Awakening within all of us!

Foreword

To carry a child in your body, to make choices between alternatives, to give birth… is not a medical event. It is a major life transition – Sheila Kitzinger1

There is so much to do, to give and to share with others. This is my reason for writing this book. This treatise is aimed at any mother, mother-to-be or individual who aspires to connect more profoundly with themselves, their babies and their role as parent and guide. It is designed to offer an array of suggestions and items of information that you, the reader, can choose from. You are then free to learn more and seek further guidance on what best suits you, and what helps you to work with your authentic Self. Make use of things which resonate with you and feel right. Feeling is your first step in strengthening your intuition and your innate ‘mother bear’ wisdom. Feel with your heart or your gut, depending on who you are, and don’t let your practical mind argue against you. Trust that little voice that whispers in your ear; it comes from within and connects you to Spirit that will guide you as you venture forward on the journey towards motherhood.
This book is presented in five stages which are directly linked to the five rituals and ceremonies which we can use while we move from woman to pregnant woman to mother. While pregnant, you can retrospectively celebrate any ritual or ceremony if you did not do so at its relevant time in the pregnancy. Metaphorically speaking, there is also no reason why you cannot perform these rituals for an already completed pregnancy if you know inside that it will bring you healing and re-programming that will better equip you in life and future pregnancies. However, in general terms, this book is more easily applicable before falling pregnant and while pregnant.

Please note that everything in this book is for your information, practical use and discernment. Check with doctors, homoeopaths, midwives, chiropractors and other medical specialists to obtain more information if you need it.

I offer you blessings of Universal Love, Light, Peace and Joy as well as a good sense of humour as you continue through the journey of your Life.

Conscious Conception

With awareness, comes an understanding that the picture is bigger than we are and that life does not only begin when we arrive through the birth canal and take our first breathe. There is an aspect of me that knows that a lifetime’s experience can be contained within eight weeks of pregnancy, nine months of gestation, twenty-five years as part of a life or even a hundred and one years of actual living. No matter the time measured, a soul’s incarnation and earth experience remains a lifetime. So, with the responsibility of this knowledge, it seems appropriate to be aware, acknowledging and mindful of everything we do for our unborn offspring, even before we conceive them.

For my daughter’s conception, seven years of unprotected love making, obsessive battles with trying to conceive a baby and disappointment with my body for not doing what I wanted it to, and what nature adjures it should do, made me realize that some things were beyond my control. I was full of sadness at seeing others easily fall pregnant and also had to accept that even when we created the ‘perfect’ circumstances for conception through one attempt at in-vitro fertilization (IVF), we were not the sole controlling elements to command the conception time or place. In the end, relaxation and simply letting go of the anxiety so I could just have fun, meant that eighteen months later I conceived our incredible daughter, Michelle. She came when she was ready. It worked, it was right and it served the purpose of teaching me the power of letting go of the elusive thing called control. I learned through this conscious conception that we are all part of a wondrous, all-powerful, co-creative and larger energy that allows us to ‘be’ while also learning and experiencing what our souls require most. My daughter’s arrival started my path of owning my individuality while being one with All that Is.

While writing this, I’m two months pregnant with my second child and he/she will bring another, deeper level of experiencing life for me. I’m learning that as much as I am part of a bigger picture and that I am not in control per se, I do get to work with this fact and by uniting my energy with my husband’s and my daughter’s, we were presented with an opportunity to participate and create this new life and family dimension together. This soul was conceived with intention, thought, desire, eagerness and family unity. I consciously chose to work with more intent at our love-making to conceive a baby in love and unity – my husband agreed to this. I chose to allow my daughter to show me what she needed to also participate in this team call-out to the incoming sibling. She chose a welcoming ceremony that involved candles, crystals and the presence of angelic and benevolent Light Beings who specifically work with babies, mothers and all aspects of birth. She also chose to use her own words to invite this baby to join our family, empowering the ‘contract’ that was already in place long before we even met Michelle.

In fact, she chose two ceremonies, one performed by just her and me; and another a few days later that replicated the first but most importantly included her father. On my days of ovulation, I placed conception crystals – garnet and coral – under our bedroom pillows and brought the pregnancy crystal unakite into our bedroom space too. I listened to a conception and pregnancy meditation CD. I’d already started taking folic acid and ensuring that no alcohol passed my lips for two months before we conceived this new soul – very easy for me as I choose to not drink anyway. But the difference here was that I wasn’t choosing not to drink because I don’t particularly like it, my choice was based on the premise that I was already holding sacred the imprint alcohol can leave on an egg, any future child’s life. If I had been a smoker I would’ve also chosen not to smoke for at least two months before actively working at conceiving another baby. Additionally, for myself, my daughter and my family (incarnated and not), I work consciously at clearing, releasing and transmuting that which doesn’t serve me and prevents me from reaching my highest potential. With all of these conscious choices and actions, and in this instance not letting go but rather seizing with both hands our power and creative desires, we conceived our new family member on the first attempt. Joy!

I share these two examples with you as references to the empowered action, magic and wonder that one is able to weave into the life of your not-yet-conceived child. No matter how you choose to be conscious about the conception process, know that it is possible and that it sets you up as an empowered, participatory parent who is able to heal, learn, teach and grow through the experience of having a child.
